Monster Math Quest is an educational math game designed for Grade 1 students (ages 4+). We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Summary: We only collect a display nickname and game scores. We never collect real names, emails, location, or any personal information. We never show ads.
📋 Information We Collect
Monster Math Quest collects the absolute minimum information necessary to operate:
- Display nickname — A name chosen by the user (e.g. "Amir") to appear on the leaderboard. This does not need to be a real name.
- Game scores — XP points, correct answers, completed lessons, and quest progress.
- Avatar color — The color chosen for the user's profile icon.
We do NOT collect:
- Real names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Location data or device identifiers
- Photos, contacts, or any device content
- Payment information
- Browsing history or behavior outside the app
🎯 How We Use Information
The display nickname and game scores are used solely to:
- Display the in-app leaderboard so students can see their ranking
- Save progress between app sessions
- Generate personalized math questions through AI (no personal data is sent — only performance metrics)
We do not use this information for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose.
👶 Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Monster Math Quest is designed for children ages 4 and up. We fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws worldwide:
- We do not collect personal information from children
- We do not show advertisements of any kind
- We do not allow in-app purchases
- We do not share any data with third parties for marketing
- We do not enable social features beyond the anonymous leaderboard

🤖 AI-Powered Questions
Monster Math Quest uses the Anthropic Claude AI to generate personalized math questions. Here is what is and is not sent to the AI:
- Sent to AI: Math topic, difficulty level, number of correct answers (anonymous performance data only)
- Never sent to AI: Names, personal information, device data, or any identifying information

☁️ Data Storage & Security
Game scores and display nicknames are stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), a trusted cloud database provider. All data is:
- Encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Stored on secure servers in the United States
- Protected with industry-standard security measures
- Never sold or shared with advertisers
🔗 Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase (supabase.com) — secure leaderboard data storage
- Anthropic Claude API (anthropic.com) — AI question generation (no personal data shared)
- Expo / React Native — app framework (no data collection)
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics trackers, or data brokers.
🗑️ Data Deletion
You have the right to have your data deleted at any time. To delete your data:
- Option 1: Simply use a different display nickname — old data becomes anonymous
- Option 2: Email us and we will remove your data within 7 days
🌍 International Users
Monster Math Quest is available worldwide. By using the app, you agree that your minimal game data (nickname and scores) may be stored on servers in the United States. We comply with:
